SUPPORTING STUDENT INTERACTIONS WITH COMPLEX TEXT

Objectives: Participants will learn effective practices to 1) support, monitor, and guide student interaction with complex text to develop academic language and content specific literacy, 2) balance text and task complexity in every content area, 3) foster metacognition to help students recognize which strategies to apply when they are not comprehending complex text.
